Re-Style

This re-style of a garden involved talking out a concrete pond shown in the first picture. After the concrete had been removed the next job was filling in the hole with top soil shown in the middle top picture. After three tonnes of soil the flower bed still needed more to raise it up. Another five tonnes of top soil later and the bed has been risen to the required level shown in the third picture. The second row pictures shows the area prepped with hard-core and sand for the base of a patio, followed by the patio being constructed. The final photo shows the bed planted up and wooden sleepers enbedded in the bank.

 

In this particular job I took up paving slabs and edged the area with a tanalised wooden frame. I covered the area with a weed-proof sheet and put the stone on top to produce a lighter and larger garden.
